Hiring a Family Mediation Attorney

A family mediation occurs when issues concerning the family arise and the parties involved cannot reach an agreement on how to handle the situation. The mediator is a lawyer that serves as a neutral third party and works to see the reasoning of each party, and is able to help the two parties reach a compromise that is beneficial to everyone involved. There are several principals that must be applied to family mediation. The process needs to be confidential. All parties in the process must be free from coercion, all parties must consent to the mediation, and all parties must be willing to compromise and reach an agreement in listening to the advice given by their respective attorneys and the mediator.
